Episode 4 : An Imaginary Journey – Neverlands

Magical fairy island that called imaginary neverland

She didn’t want to think about anything. She hadn’t been able to silence the unanswered questions in her head. She needed to focus on other things. Or maybe numbing herself a little would do her better. There were various ways to do that. Some were useless, and some were unhealthy. She wanted to push the limits of her mind. She chose to watch a fantastic movie and to dream.

Humans were creatures trapped within this body. She imagined her soul separating from her body and roaming freely like an angel or a ghost. What she imagined was that: once the body disappeared, so would all needs, and she could be anywhere she wanted.
When she voiced this aloud, the recording angel couldn’t make sense of it. While the angel found human creation magnificent, were humans aspiring to become angels?

Boundless Imagination in mind tells:

“I want to go to places I’ve never known, taste things I’ve never tasted, and drink from the waters of rivers I’ve never drunk from. Far from the artificial respiration and illusions of love in this world, I want to be beamed to planets I’ve never known within a circle of oxygen, to be among people I’ve never met who are filled with peace and serenity, and to blend into a paradise where only beauty exists. I want to break the chains I cannot be rid of them, to declare my freedom to all the emotions and thoughts that imprison me, and to my stagnation.”

Articles shared by Harvard University have discussed the effects of the hormones dopamine and serotonin. Serotonin is the hormone that makes you feel happy, while dopamine is the hormone that creates the feeling of pleasure as part of the brain’s reward system. The articles also specify the circumstances under which these hormones are released1, 2.
Furthermore, an article titled “Pleasure Systems in the Brain” notes that delicious foods, romance and sexuality, drugs, friends and loved ones, artistic activities, and situations where one remains consistently happy are all linked to the brain’s pleasure system 3.

The Essence of Existence

No matter what we do in this world, it will never be enough. We will never attain infinite happiness or infinite peace. This is the essence of our existence: our desires are infinite, but our resources are limited. We are humans, even money and abundance cannot make us happy…
