The veil over her eyes had begun to lift slowly. She could see very clearly that while wars raged in the world, social and societal decay was also taking place. In the age of communication and information, it was actually clear what was going on. The same was true for institutions and companies. On one hand, innocent people were being killed; on the other, people’s innocent souls were dying. It was as if in a hell burning from within. She couldn’t do anything; there was nothing she could do—except burn. Then the recording angel heard her:
“Conforming to this system means exactly this; killing our innocent souls…”

Look at the Universe

See the Universe,
Look closely.
This universe and nature were not created by capitalism.
The rains were not sent down by secularism.
The crops were not grown by them.
We did not obtain the food from animals thanks to them.
Our minds and our genetics were not bestowed upon us by them.

So why do we always look at life through a materialistic lens?
Perhaps the universe doesn’t work by these systems.
If birds that leave their nests hungry every day then return to their nests full, there’s no need to live in constant anxiety…

Definitions – Capitalism, Materialism and Secularism

Let’s take a look at what these concepts mean and what they describe, and let’s reflect a bit on how much we experience these systems in our lives and to what extent we live by them.

Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and its use for the purpose of obtaining profit ¹ .
Materialism is a form of monism holding that matter is the fundamental substance of nature, so that all things, including mind and consciousness, arise from material interactions and depend on physical processes, including those of the human brain and nervous system ² . Secularism is another term for naturalism, seeking to interpret life based on principles derived solely from the material world and focusing only on “temporal” and material concerns ³ .
